Clean eating meal plan is now ready!

As per my previous blog post, I am working on my New Years Goals which include Meal Planning and Clean Eating.  I have spent the past few days scouring the internet and pinning recipes.  I have reached out to friends and asked them for recipes. My ass is now larger from sitting all day doing this work.  I will now present to you my 3 week clean eating menu.  I have added links if I am following specific recipes. Okay, back to the reason for this post (ADD much, Heidi?).   I do best with staying on track if I replace 1 meal a day with a shake.  I use a few different whey protein powders, but I prefer Optimum Nutrition (find it here).  I go with the 2lb size because I don’t like to commit to the 5lb size.   I have also used Unflavored Jarrow Whey Protein (find it here). When I use the Optimum Nutrition I just mix it up in my Blendtec (AMAZING blender) with unsweetened almond milk.   When I use the unflavored jarrow whey I add unsweetened almond milk, a splash of homemade vanilla extract,  PB2, and a 1/4 frozen banana.  YUM.  Seriously yum.  Of course I throw a little spinach in there.  Maybe some Chia Seeds and Flax Seeds if I am feeling wild.  PB2 is a powdered peanut butter with 85% less fat calories than the traditional stuff. And its yummy.  Give it a try sometime!   It looks like the best price is a 2 pack on Amazon for only $17.    You can get creative with your smoothies just be very mindful of the sugar content.  When you start loading it up with fruit, honey, and milk you are really packing in the calories and sugar.

I work from home so it is easy for me to heat up some leftovers, or make a pot of soup in my Instant Pot.  Oh the Instant Pot.…it is loved like its my 3rd child.  It makes my life easier.  It makes me happy.  It is just perfection.   I will save that gushing for another post and another day.  But for real, I use it at least 4 days a week, sometimes twice a day.
